  1. What year did you start racing mountain bikes?
     
    My first race was like 1996. Ringwood race. The race course is still similar today.
     
  2. What is your best result so far? (example: 3rd Place Senior Expert Men - Mt. Snow, VT - 2000)
     
    1st place expert solo men 30-39 for the 2007 24 Hours of Allamuchy. Was very muddy wet course,, 100 degrees early in the day, cold and raining at night. I was just stubborn and determined to ride the whole thing.I slept 5 hours though..
     
  3. What is the most and least number of hours that you train in a week? (Not zero but the least number of hours you actually train)
     
    Least would be like 4 and most would be like 12.
     
  4. Name your favorite XC and/or DOWNHILL race course?
     
    Chain Stretcher, Blue Mountain N.Y.
     
  5. Name your favorite place to ride:
     
    Ringwood, Waywayanda close second favorite. 3rd would be a private 6 mile trail in West Milford.
     
  6. What is the longest distance or number of hours that you have ridden XC in one day on a mountain bike? (EXCLUDING A 24 OR 12 HOUR RACE unless SOLO!)
     
    I have been out a solid 6 hours just riding with friends, no race.. And I have done a few 24 hour events
     
  7. How much of your training is on the road?
     
    90 percent road
     
  8. Do you cross train or use weights?
     
    I weight train in the off season
     
  9. Do you use supplements or sport drinks?
     
    Multivitamin, watered down Gatorade, Endurox Excell
     
  10. Do you do anything special (besides the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for an important race?
     
    I clean up my bike in my garage. Go over stuff and make sure all my equip is good to go.
     
  11. Do you use a heart rate monitor?
     
    not any longer
     
  12. Do you keep a training log?
     
    I keep a race log but no training log
     
  13. What do you consider your strong points on a race course, hills, technical sections, downhills?
     
    Technical single track and climbs.Cleaning logs,rock gardens and wet roots. I bonk alot on fire roads. I think its because I ride the day before a race too hard but I can't help it,, I like biking..
     
  14. What aspect of mountain biking is the most fun for you?
     
    Just being out on the trail enjoying the passing trees. Day out with your friends enjoying the best scenery in the world.
     
  15. What is your greatest moment (biggest rush) that you have experienced on your MOUNTAIN BIKE?
     
    I would have to say Porcupine Rim MOAB overlook of the canyons. Absolutely amazing.
     
  16. Do you have any suggestions for Beginner racers?
     
    Have fun. Most important thing about this sport is enjoying it. Once the enjoyment is gone then who cares about the race.
